Welcome to Tuscan Capital in Birmingham, our first regional presence outside central London.

Having established ourselves as a credible player in the dynamic bridging sector, Tuscan Capital is expanding its geographical reach by opening its first regional office in the centre of Birmingham - the UK’s ‘second city’ and undisputed queen of the booming West Midlands.

Since launching in 2018, we have built solid momentum and an impressive growth record. Most of our business since then has originated via brokers in SE England. Increasingly, however, we are seeing more opportunities in the Midlands, an area in which we are keen to lend.

I see Birmingham and its surrounding region as a growth area with real character, easy access to the rest of the UK and rapid train links to London. As our second city, it offers a unique opportunity and a young, exciting vibe that promises much for its future.

It’s also an area that’s well known to me personally. I worked there for many years and it’s where I met my wife. It also happens to be where we’ve chosen to locate the family home - in Knowle, Solihull - so I think I can claim to know a little about it.

Shading into conventional lending but with a tone and focus of its own, our ‘Outside the Box’ lending palette offers elastic solutions for more complex bridge scenarios. These might include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Where the loan size is greater than £3,000,000.
  • Where the property type or tenure is not conventional, e.g. short leases etc.
  • Where the borrower has a need to refinance an existing overdue facility, e.g. to re-bridge a bridge.
  • Where a mezzanine loan is required.
  • Where multiple properties and/or land is offered as additional security.
  • Where the property is being acquired from an LPA receiver or is a distressed sale at an under-value price.
