Katie Wilsher-Garratt joins the business in this new role and will be responsible for developing existing and new broker relationships across the region, helping firms to identify short-term finance opportunities and to help them develop their propositions in this area.

With over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Katie has worked for a number of lenders including Money Partners, GE Money, Link Lending/Link Loans, Shawbrook Bank and Focused Lending.

She joins Tuscan Capital from Central and Mercantile Trust where she was most recently Head of Intermediary Sales.

Reporting to Tuscan’s Sales Director, Jaxon Stevens, Katie joins the wider sales team which also covers regional offices in both Manchester and Birmingham, in addition to the head office in London.

Tuscan said the appointment was part of its ongoing sales team restructure allowing the lender to broaden its distribution and provide further support and resource to its broker and intermediary partners.

Last month, Tuscan launched a new-look refurbishment facility as a further addition to its range of property finance products.

Through the facility, developers are able to secure funding up to 100% of build costs and 70% of purchase price, with pricing starting at 0.48% per month over Bank Base Rate.

Tuscan Capital provides non-regulated bridging finance to the residential, commercial, semi-commercial, HMO and mixed-use real estate sectors in England and Wales.
